2nd day: Etna / Taormina
Breakfast at the farmhouse. Departure for excursion to Mount Etna, the highest active volcan in Europe. Free lunch. In the afternoon transfer to Taormina, pearl of the Ionian Sea: visit to the greek theater with impressive panoramic view, the Basilica of San Nicolo (Basilica di San Nicolò), Piazza IX Aprile, Church of St. Augustine (Chiesa di S. Agostino) and the Clock Tower. Return to the farm, dinner and overnight.a demonstration of the system of winemaking and wine tasting. Dinner and overnight.
3rd day: Syracuse / Noto / Ragusa
Breakfast and departure to Syracuse. Visit to the park neapolis: greek theater, Altar of Hieron (Altare di Ierone), Ear of Dionysius (Orecchio di Dionisio) and the Isle of Ortigia with a visit to the Baroque Cathedral. Lunch at restaurant. In the afternoon continuation to Noto, a baroque jewel: visits of the Duomo, the Church and the College of St. Charles (Collegio di S. Carlo), St. Dominic's Church (Chiesa di S. Domenico), the Episcopal Palace (Palazzo Vescovile), the National Gate (Porta Nazionale), the Golden Palace Hotel (Palazzo Villa Dorata), the Teatro Comunale. Departure to Ragusa and transfer to hotel. Accommodation in the hotel rooms, dinner and overnight.
4th day: Ragusa / Modica
Breakfast at hotel. Departure to Ragusa Ibla, a baroque city with palaces, public buildings and churches including the Cathedral of San Giorgio (Duomo di S. Giorgio). Stop to the public gardens and free lunch. Departure for Modica. The city is located between 2 ravines carved by streams and its appearance is Baroque. Visit the Cathedral of St. Peter (Duomo di San Pietro), St. George Cathedral (Duomo di San Giorgio), Casa-Museo Salvatore Quasimodo, Ancient Dolceria Bonajuto, the oldest chocolate factory in Sicily with tasting of the famous chocolate of Modica. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight.
5th day: Buccheri / Caltagirone
Breakfast at hotel. Departure for the visit to the Buccheri Olificio Tereus where you can taste an excellent oil, combined with preserved local production and/or ricotta, a typical sicilian cream cheese. Free lunch. In the afternoon continue to Caltagirone, the pottery town. Visit the majestic staircase, the Church of St. Maria del Monte (Chiesa di Santa Maria del Monte, the Regional Museum of Ceramics with the panoramic Teatrillo, the Church and the Bridge of S. Francis (Ponte di S. Francesco), the former Bourbon prison, and the charming old town full of craft shops. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight.
6th day: Return
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport of Catania and assistance.
